Pastor's Monthly Message

Shalom and greetings to you all in Jesus' name!

Time passes quickly and we are into August. I don't know whether you feel it or not, whenever we reach the month of June, time flies very quickly and before you know it, it's November and December. Right?

Well, let's learn to redeem our time for our life in Christ. Paul told the church in Ephesus in Ephesiians 5:16 . . .

"Making the most every opportunity, because the days are evil."[NIV]

The Amplified Bible puts it this way — "making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil."[AMP]

Let us make the best use of our life and time as time passes by quickly TO honour God, reach the unchurched for Jesus, commit our lives for His glory, serve Jesus faithfully, and be God's salt and light in this dark world. Amen!

We have started our new series of messages on Nehemiah"Hand Me Another Brick" — about two weeks ago. In this series, we talked bout Nehemiah being lead by his heart to return to Jerusalem TO rebuild the broken down walls surrounding the city.

Why are the walls important?

"Ancient walls" served many functions. They offered protection and security, and they reflected the strength of the people. When the walls were broken down, the guard and protection were down — thus their lives were open to threats and attacks easily.

In rebuilding the broken down walls in our lives, we MUST see the need to do something about this — if not, we are open to the enemies constant attack upon our lives. As such, we must be like Nehemiah, a man who seize the hour TO DO something about the broken down walls
1. He was honest and admitted that the broken walls needed to be rebuilt.
2. He started this project by devoting himself to prayer and fasting.
3. He began visualise on the areas that needed rebuilding.
4. He needed to agonise in prayer before launching the rebuilding process.
5. He organised steps needed to take to successfully complete the project.

Let us learn from Nehemiah as we journey with him in the effort of rebuilding the walls surrounding Jerusalem as it's with our life in Jesus. Amen! You all have a blessed month.

God Bless!

Pastor Christopher Mun
